Montréal le 31 Août 2015 – Maria Hengge née 22/03/1970 à Chicago, IL, Etats-Unis et a grandit à Munich, Allemagne . En 1998, elle a terminée ses études d’acteur au Séminaire Max Reinhardt à Vienne et était membre de l’ensemble du Théatre National de Vienne (Burgtheater) jusqu’en 2005 . A part de son travail d’actrice et metteur en scène de théâtre et de cinéma, elle a étudié la dramaturgie et l’esthétique de film à l ́ Université de Berlin-Babelsberg. En 2008, elle a réalisé son premier court métrage LE DERNIER BUS, qui a été présenté à plus de 30 festivals de film internationaux et a reçu le Prédicat «précieux» par la FBW 2009. De 2009 à Novembre 2014, elle a réalisé son premier long métrage SIN & ILLY STILL ALIVE, pour lequel elle est responsable du script,
la réalisation et la production.
STILL ALIVE se concentre sur la guerrisson de la toxicomanie. Pour se débarrasser de la drogue, il faut au moins le même courage et la même force de volonté avec laquelle on a commencé autrefois à consommer la drogue. En accompagnant la jeune actrice principale sur son chemin, l ́audience va pouvoir développer un sentiment d ́empathie et découvrir avec elle des moyens réalistes et authentiques pour sortir de la dépendance, plutôt que de prendre distance et de stigmatiser.
Maria Hengge was born on March 22nd in1970 in Chicago, IL, USA and grew up in Munich, Germany. 1998 she finished her acting studies at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna, Austria and worked as Member of the Ensemble at the Viennese Burgtheater till 2005. Beside her work as actress and director in theater and films,
she studied film dramaturgy & aesthetics at the Babelsberg University for film in Berlin. 2008 she realized her first short film THE LAST BUS, which was presented in over 30 int. filmfestivals. From 2009 -2014 she realized her first feature film SIN & ILLY STILLALIVE as writer, director and producer. My feature film SIN & ILLY STILL ALIVE focuses on the way out of drug addiction. It needs at least the same courage and will to get away from drugs like to start with them. With the female young main cast the audience will emphasize and find realistic and authentic ideas about a way out of addiction instead of taking distance and stigmatizing.
SYNOPSIS Sin and Illy have a plan: on a Greek island they want to get ‘clean’ on their own. But the intention of the two girls fails already on the way to the airport. Finally Sin realizes she has to go the way out of heroin addiction all alone. Sin et Illy ont un plan: elles veulent devenir „propres“ sans aide, toutes seules sur une île grecque. Mais le projet des deux filles échoue déjà sur le chemin à l’aéroport. Enfin Sin se rend compte, que ́elle doit faire son chemin toute seule pour se débarrasser de l’héroïne.
